Large-scale attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure: the line to ZNPP is cut off

Russia has been carrying out a large-scale attack on Ukraine’s energy system lately. Impacts were recorded on generation facilities and distribution systems in different areas.

This was reported on Facebook by Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko.

According to him, the enemy is now carrying out the largest attack on Ukrainian energy in recent times. The goal is not just to damage, but to try again, as last year, to cause a large-scale disruption of the country’s energy system.

“Unfortunately, there have been hits and damage to generation facilities, transmission and distribution systems of electricity in different areas. In addition, due to the shelling, one of the power lines supplying the Zaporizhzhya NPP has been de-energized,” he noted.

Halushchenko added that in some regions there are power outages. Energy workers are already working to restore power supply.
