Zelenskyy explained Danilov’s resignation and new appointments: “The reboot of the state management system continues”

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy explained the resignation of Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council Oleksiy Danilov and new appointments on March 26. According to the head of state, he will be transferred to another direction, and the system is being rebooted.

This was stated in the president’s evening address to Ukrainians. He thanked Danilov for his work. Zelenskyн added that Oleksandr Lytvynenko has been appointed as the new Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.

“He will combine his experience in leading the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine with the tasks facing the National Security and Defence Council. Oleh Ivashchenko has become the new head of foreign intelligence. He has relevant experience,” the head of state informed.

The President expressed hope for strengthening the strategic capabilities of our state to predict and influence the processes on which the national security of our state depends.

“The strengthening of Ukraine and the renewal of our state system in all areas will continue,” Zelenskyy promised.

About resumption after shelling

The President assured that restoration work after the Russian shelling is under control. In particular, we are talking about eliminating the consequences in Kharkiv.

“Today there was a corresponding report from Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. And I am grateful to everyone on the ground who works for the people, who, without interruption, around the clock, does everything possible so that people and enterprises have electricity, communications, transport - all these basics. lives that are needed,” the Ukrainian leader emphasized.

About the situation at the front

The President congratulated the National Guard on the tenth anniversary of the creation of the security force. He also noted specific units and specific soldiers who deserve special, personal gratitude for effective actions at the front at this time:

- 1st Presidential Operational Brigade - soldier Ruslan Turanov and lieutenant Dmytro Kalin;

- The 3rd Operational Brigade of the National Guard - soldier Vladyslav Romanchuk, senior soldier Yehor Holubin, and sergeant Serhiy Maryshev;

- 4th Operational Brigade - soldier Artur Mizin and junior lieutenant Ruslan Minchenko;

- 5th Separate Slobozhanska Brigade - Senior Soldier Oleh Shumov, Sergeant Bohdan Keichyn and Staff Sergeant Oleh Miroshnychenko;

- The 12th Special Forces Brigade of the National Guard - Senior Soldier Leonid Kubyshkovskyi and Junior Sergeants Mykola Halynskyi and Bohdan Petryniak;

- 18th Slavic Brigade - Sergeant Ruslan Khaimenov, Senior Sergeant Vladyslav Soroka and Junior Lieutenant Artem Holubenko.

The Head of State also noted the servicemen of the Omega Special Forces Centre of the National Guard. He thanked everyone for defending the state.
