Media: Bankova Street discusses dismissal of Prosecutor General Kostin

The Office of the President is talking about the possible dismissal of Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin.

This was reported by Ukrainskaya Pravda’s interlocutors in President Zelenskyy’s team.

“The decision has not been made yet, but the issue of Kostin is increasingly being raised at meetings. When the issue of dismissal is raised publicly... maybe this month, or maybe later, this is not a rushed issue,” noted one of the senior interlocutors of the UP.

The option of appointing Kostin as ambassador to the Netherlands is being considered if the partners agree that the current prosecutor general will focus his work on the international tribunal for crimes of Russia in Ukraine.

“Andriy is a good guy, but he is too indecisive for this position (meaning prosecutor general),” added another interlocutor.

The question of who could become the new head of the Prosecutor General’s Office is being studied.
