An explosion occurred on the territory of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant captured by the invaders - a drone detonated. Representatives of the IAEA witnessed the incident. This was reported on the IAEA page in X (twitter).
The head of the UN International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, confirmed that a drone exploded on the territory of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant. Grossi did not specify which side of the conflict launched it.
“ZNPP informed IAEA experts that a drone detonated on the territory of the plant today. We also observed such a detonation. I urge you to refrain from actions that contradict the five principles of the IAEA and violate nuclear safety,” Rafael Grossi addressed.
It is noted that this was about one drone.
IAEA experts have been informed by ZNPP that a drone detonated on site today. Such detonation is consistent with IAEA observations. “I urge to refrain from actions that contradict the 5 IAEA principles and jeopardize nuclear safety,” Director General @rafaelmgrossi said.
