The mayor of Kharkiv announced large-scale destruction of the energy system as a result of Russian shelling
The mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, said that the city’s energy system suffered widespread destruction as a result of Russian shelling.
According to him, the city has introduced strict blackout schedules.
“Critical infrastructure is now healed. We provide light to residential buildings according to schedules, but often they are not met because there is not enough voltage,” the mayor said.
He also said that electric transport is partially operating in the city.
“We launched the metro with train arrival intervals of 10-12 minutes during rush hour, and at other times – 20 minutes. Every day a certain number of autonomous trolleybuses, as well as municipal buses, run around the city,” said Ihor Terekhov.
