The situation in Kharkiv is “very tough.” Constant Russian terror was intensified by daily air bomb drops. The task for both the military and all diplomats of Ukraine is to find an opportunity to give the city more sky protection.

This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his evening address to Ukrainians. He noted that he had been in touch with the military all day - with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, the head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Malyuk and the Minister of Internal Affairs Rustem Umyerov.

“Both on the situation on the front line, and on Russian attacks on our country - special attention, of course, to Kharkiv. The situation in the city is very tough, constant Russian terror, now also almost daily - with air bombs. We are looking for opportunities to give Kharkiv more sky protection - and this is a task both for the military and for all diplomats of Ukraine - for each and everyone who is responsible for international communication, who must be in dialogue with partners every day,” the head of state noted.

He emphasized that there are air defence systems in the world that can help, all that is needed is political will to transfer them. The President thanked the countries that have already helped.

“Now the “patriots” belong precisely in Ukraine, so that later they will not have to be used, at least along the entire eastern flank of NATO,” Zelenskyy noted.
