Attack on Lviv region: the enemy hit energy facilities with missiles

During a massive combined missile attack on Ukraine on the night of April 27, the Russians attacked, in particular, the Lviv region. Over the region, sky defenders shot down three cruise missiles.

But there were some hits: the invaders hit two energy facilities in the region, and fires broke out there. The details were revealed by the head of the Lviv regional military administration, Maxim Kozitskyi.

The air raid alert in the Lviv region on April 27 began at 03:58 and lasted a little over two hours, until 06:02. During this time, the invaders attacked the region with cruise missiles of various classes, as well as ballistic Daggers.

Air defence forces shot down three enemy cruise missiles. However, there were some hits.

“The enemy attacked two critical energy infrastructure facilities in the Stryiskyi and Chervonohradskyi districts. Fires started there. State Emergency Service units quickly put out the fire. There is destruction. There are no casualties, injuries, or destruction of residential infrastructure as of this hour in the Lviv region,” he wrote in the morning.

At the time of publication of the message, according to the head of the Lviv Regional Administration, all life support systems in the region were operating normally, and there was no need to carry out emergency power outages. However, given that the invaders attacked the energy sector outside the Lviv region, residents of the region, like all Ukrainians, will have to limit their electricity consumption.

“Only this night, the invaders attacked energy infrastructure facilities in the Dnipropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions. It is difficult for the energy system to maintain the balance of production and consumption. We must help. To avoid having to apply hourly outages, please do not turn on energy-intensive electrical appliances from 19:00 to 22: 00. Will limit the simultaneous switching on of such devices,” Kozitskyi called.

Thus, Ukrainians are asked to limit the use of air conditioners, electric kettles, vacuum cleaners, boilers, heaters, irons, washing machines, microwaves and electric ovens. In addition, it is recommended to unplug all appliances that are not currently in use and use energy-saving lamps.
