The former head of the Brovary district state administration, Heorhiy Birkadze, got into a scandal on the air of the United News telethon when he commented on the allocation of funds for fortifications.

Commenting on the allocation of funds for fortification, he literally exposed himself to suspicion of corruption. A video of the incident went viral on social media. Reportedly, he was invited on air to comment on the second tranche of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine from the EU. The former official noted that Ukraine is doing everything to strengthen the state’s defense capability. After this, a dubious phrase was heard regarding fortifications:

“If we take the restoration, then today we stole 37 billion... oh, we invested in fortifications,” Birkadze said live.

Heorhiy Birkadze set a kind of anti-record - he headed the district state administration almost less than all the leaders during the time of Independence. He left his post due to failed personnel policies and scandals. Now he works in the Office of President Zelensky due to his close relationship with Yermak. Participates in a single telethon as a commentator and produces strange statements similar to the truth.
