Director of the River Ports Administration Oleksandr Kozlovskyi was detained for taking a bribe
The director of the River Ports Administration was detained while accepting a bribe of $8,500.
This was announced on Friday, May 3, by the press service of the Ministry of Community, Territories and Infrastructure Development.
Let us note that the ministry does not disclose the name of the detainee, but it is known that the Administration of River Ports has been headed by Oleksandr Kozlovskyi since July 2020.
As the ministry said, the director of the State Enterprise “River Ports Administration” was detained on Thursday, May 2, while extracting unlawful benefits in the amount of $8,500.
This money was paid to Oleksandr Kozlovskyi for concluding an agreement for the operation of hydraulic structures (berths) in the Kyiv region for the organization of recreation areas and the placement of small architectural forms.
“The Ministry emphasizes zero tolerance for corruption of officials, is interested in an objective investigation and in every possible way contributes to law enforcement agencies in establishing the truth,” the Ministry of Community, Territorial and Infrastructure Development said.
Oleksandr Kozlovskyi was declared suspected of receiving unlawful benefits by an official (Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The maximum punishment provided for by the article is imprisonment for a term of up to ten years.
