In the capital, Ukrzaliznytsia official was exposed for taking a bribe of 10 million hryvnia

In Kyiv, an official of the regional branch of Ukrzaliznytsia was exposed for taking a bribe of 10 million hryvnia.

The Office of the Prosecutor General reports this.

According to the investigation, the official demanded 10 million hryvnia from the head of a capital construction company. For these funds, he promised to transfer to the company a long-term lease of 6 hectares of land on the balance sheet of the state-owned enterprise. And also speed up the procedure for registering contracts in Ukrzaliznytsia and the Kyiv City State Administration.

Law enforcement officers detained the official while transferring the first part of the illegal benefit to him.

In April 2024, the official was convicted of violating traffic safety rules resulting in a fatal accident. He committed this crime while on probation. He was informed of suspicion under Part 4 of Art. 368 CC.
