From the beginning of the day until 16:30 on June 8, 56 military clashes took place on the front line. The fiercest fighting is taking place in the Pokrovsk direction: it accounted for 40% of the enemy attacks that the invaders carried out during the day.

In second place in terms of activity of Russian forces is the Kurakhove direction: Ukrainian soldiers repulsed five attacks there, three are ongoing. The situation was reported to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“The total number of military clashes as of today has increased to 56. The enemy is focusing his main efforts in the Pokrovsk direction - more than 40 percent of today’s enemy attacks took place there,” the General Staff noted.

Thus, nine combat engagements continued in the Pokrovsk sector as of 16:30: near Novopokrovske, Yevhenivka, Novoselivka Persha and Yasnobrodivka. In total, there have been 23 attacks in this sector since the beginning of the day.

"The enemy has already retaliated near Novooleksandrivka, Nevelske, Netailove and Sokol. The occupants are supporting the offensive with air strikes - they have hit the areas of Vesele and Novooleksandrivka once," the General Staff said.

The invaders carried out three airstrikes in the Kharkiv direction. The last attack was made by the invaders from the Belgorod direction: after lunch, they hit the area of the village of Vesele with a controlled aerial bomb.

The enemy also made three attacks.

Since the beginning of the day on June 8, four clashes have already occurred in the Kupyansk direction. Ukrainian soldiers repulsed all attacks of the invaders.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russian occupiers carried out an airstrike in the area of the village of Pivnichne.

Five Russian attacks were repelled in the Kurakhove direction. Fighting continues in three locations in the Krasnohorivka area. The situation escalated near the village of Ilyinka - the enemy dropped two guided bombs into the area.

In other areas, the situation has not undergone significant changes.

“Ukrainian troops are inflicting fire damage on the enemy. In particular, our strike unmanned systems, as well as missilemen and artillerymen, are actively reducing the enemy’s offensive potential,” the Ukrainian General Staff summarized.
