On the night of June 7, Ukrainian air defense units shot down an X-101 cruise missile with a cluster warhead for the first time.

“In this version of the X-101, the first BZD remained high-explosive fragmentation, and the second became cassette,” the message says.

It is unknown how actively the Russians use this version of the X-101. It can be assumed that it will be used primarily for shelling airfields.

Earlier it became known that the Russians had modernized the X-101 missile, doubling its warhead. Experts suggest that the second warhead was installed by reducing the volume of fuel tanks. Because of this, the range of the cruise missile has decreased.
