On Monday, June 10, the large anti-submarine ship Admiral Levchenko caught fire in the Barents Sea. There is a struggle for the survival of the ship. The ship’s crew numbers several hundred people.

This was announced by the head of the press center for strategic communications of the Defence Forces of southern Ukraine, captain 3rd rank Dmytro Pletenchuk. According to him, one of the ship’s engines caught fire.

Pletenchuk noted that the Russian ship has not had routine qualified maintenance since 2014.

“Hostile equipment is burning and burning. This happens when a “superpower” receives sanctions from Ukraine and cannot independently maintain engines produced in Nikolaev. 10 years were not enough to solve this problem. One of the installations caught fire,” he wrote.

Dmytro Pletenchuk ironically noted that the military exercises of the occupiers are going “coolly.”

“Just so you understand, the crew there is several hundred. Not “Moscow”, of course, but not bad either,” Pletenchuk added.

Let’s hope for the successful immersion of the Russian warship and its entire crew.
