In Kharkiv, the SSU detained a Russian agent who was correcting shelling of the city

In Kharkiv, employees of the Security Service of Ukraine detained another Russian agent. The 55-year-old city dweller corrected the enemy’s missile and bomb attacks on the regional center and collected information about the locations of the concentration of personnel and military equipment of the Defence Forces.

In addition, on instructions from the Russian special services, the traitor also reported on the consequences of Russian air attacks in the city. Details were reported in the SSU Telegram channel.

“The security service detained another Russian agent who was correcting missile and bomb attacks on Kharkiv. She turned out to be a 55-year-old local resident who worked as a security guard,” the report says.

Counterintelligence officers found out that the traitor tried to identify and transfer to the aggressor information about the places of greatest concentration of personnel and military equipment of the defenders of Kharkiv. The enemy agent was also interested in the consequences of Russian air attacks.

“To obtain intelligence data, the defendant traveled around the territory of Kharkiv and “in the dark” asked for data under the guise of everyday conversations with friends. She sent the received intelligence information to the Russian Telegram channel, administered by representatives of the Russian special services,” the SSU noted.

The invaders used the information received from the agency both to prepare new ones and to adjust repeated attacks on Kharkiv using missiles and CAB.

However, Service employees exposed the enemy agent and detained her. They confiscated her mobile phone, with which she communicated with curators from the Russian special services.

The collected evidence base was enough to inform the detained Kharkiv resident of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: Part 2 of Art. 111 (high treason committed under martial law) and parts 1 and 3 of Art. 436-2 (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).

While the traitor is in custody. She faces life imprisonment.

Complex measures were carried out by SSU officers in the Kharkiv region under the procedural leadership of the regional prosecutor’s office.
