Russian Federation attacked the DTEK thermal power plant: there were casualties

On the night of June 20, the occupying army of the Russian Federation dealt another blow to the DTEK thermal power plant. As a result of the shelling, three workers at a critical infrastructure facility were injured.

In addition, the station’s equipment was seriously damaged. This was reported by the DTEK press service.

The company said that power engineers are now working to eliminate the consequences of the attack. DTEK also noted that this is the seventh massive attack on the company’s thermal power plants over the past three months.

Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, DTEK Energo thermal power plants have been shelled more than 180 times. During this period, 53 workers were injured from shelling at stations, and three power engineers were killed.

“Another difficult night for the Ukrainian energy sector. The Russians shelled one of DTEK’s thermal power plants. Three of our colleagues were wounded. Doctors are providing all possible assistance. The station’s equipment was also seriously damaged,” the message says.
