The occupiers launched an Iskander attack on the airfield in Myrhorod

On the afternoon of 1 July, Russian terrorists attacked a military airfield near Myrhorod, where Ukrainian aircraft are based. The occupiers fired with Iskander missiles, and the fire was adjusted by an Orlan reconnaissance drone that had been hovering over Myrhorod for several hours. Despite the terrorists’ statements about "4 destroyed and 2 damaged Su-27s", the actual losses are much lower, but the trend is very bad.

This was reported by the monitoring channel Mykolaiv Vanek. It is known that the terrorists struck with Iskander-M missiles with a cluster warhead. According to the monitoring data, the airfield personnel is intact, the aircraft have been damaged, but everything is not as bad as the Russian terrorists are making it out to be.

Separately, the channel criticised the command of the military unit in Myrhorod, which made a mistake by deploying aircraft without cover and protection. Also, no measures were taken to destroy the UAV, which had been flying freely in the area of Myrhorod for almost three hours.

"The millionth year of war, and the sheeple learn nothing... They have already made mistakes in Kulbakino and Dolgintsevo. Now it’s Myrhorod. And once again, no "great commander" on the ground who fails to make normal decisions at critical moments will be held accountable. And the stupid blond shells will clap their hands loudly while our similarly brilliant brethren are fighting like this. Thank God that people are safe, yes," he wrote.

Interestingly, the Ukrainian military also painted silhouettes of airplanes on the runways of the airfield, just as Russian terrorists did to protect themselves from UAV strikes. However, as in the case of the Russians, “creativity” did not help protect the planes.

Well-known volunteer Serhiy Sternenko also commented on the situation. He complained about the lack of necessary protection:

“There are damaged planes, with no casualties among personnel. There was information about a Russian reconnaissance aircraft being in the air, ahead of time. However, appropriate measures were not taken,” Sternenko wrote.
