The defender lost both arms in the battles near Bakhmut, but despite this, he tries to continue to be useful to the front.
A soldier of the 3rd Special Operations Forces regiment, Oleksandr Kulyk, who lost both arms in the battles near Bakhmut, learned to control an FPV drone. A lieutenant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the call sign “Alex” reported this in his telegram channel “Officer+”.
“After losing both arms, the fighter learned to control an FPV drone. A real warrior! Doesn’t sit on the couch and cry like all the crap,” wrote “Alex.”
He published a video from Oleksandr Kulyk’s Instagram, which shows how he deftly controls a drone, even without brushes.
Oleksandr Kulyk himself commented on his video: “We are training to destroy evil spirits.”
Meanwhile, in the comments, Ukrainians were amazed at the perseverance and willpower of the Ukrainian defender and expressed admiration and support for him:
- Our defenders are titans. Low bow.
 - Power.
 - We know that you are strong and indestructible.
 - Creamery in Sudzha - his work?

As reported on the “We are Ukraine” TV channel, before the war, 26-year-old Alexander Kulik worked in the advertising business, but put it on pause and volunteered for the war, where he was an operator of FPV drones. ![]()

In the battles for Bakhmut, he was seriously wounded in all four limbs, and doctors had to amputate his hands.
After such injuries, the fighter underwent treatment and is trying in every possible way to return to normal life and continue to be useful for Ukraine. He wants to be a UAV flying instructor and work.
“Those kinds of minimal challenges for yourself give you a zest for life,” he said.
