TRC has already imposed almost 12 thousand fines for violation of military records

OpenDatabot reports that since the beginning of the year, the TRC has already imposed almost 12 thousand fines on Ukrainians for violating military records.

This is already more than for the entire last year (10,337).

At the moment, a third of these fines have already been collected (4236), and 64% (7562) are still being collected from debtors.

As you can see, the number of fines is measured in the thousands. Perhaps after July 16, when the rule comes into force that even a summons not received in person is considered served, the number will increase to tens of thousands. But there will be hundreds of thousands or even millions of those evading service and not updating their data. Therefore, not all of them will receive fines. In addition, as we see, even with the current not very large flow of 12 thousand fines imposed, less than half have been collected so far. That is, the process of imposing fines is not quick and not total.

As TRC employees told us, summonses will, first of all, be issued to those who have already updated their data. And the process of sending summonses and imposing fines on those who have not updated their data will not be quick.

At the same time, representatives of the TRC say that the “non-renovationists” will have problems of a different kind after July 16.

“For them, the main threat is not summonses and fines in case of failure to appear, but document checks on the street. There they can immediately be sent to the TRC if they see that the data has not been updated. So for “non-renovationists” leaving the house becomes risky. Or prepare to resolve the issue right on the spot, if possible,” says a source in one of the TRC.
