FSB agent who corrected missile strikes on Odesa detained
The Ukrainian Security Service detained another FSB agent in Odesa, who was collecting coordinates for a new series of missile and drone strikes on the city.
The SSU reports this.
It was noted that among the enemy’s priority targets were the combat positions of air defence systems protecting the airspace of the regional center.
To reveal the geolocation of Ukrainian troops, the defendant drove around the city and its environs in his own car, where he secretly photographed the objects he needed.
He transmitted the information received to his curator from Russia through an anonymous chat in the messenger.
“In the event of the capture of Odesa, the enemy henchman hoped, with the patronage of the Russian special service, to head the ‘construction department’ of the local occupation administration of Russia,” the report says.
The attacker was detained while she was walking near a military facility, where she tried to remove its perimeter.
According to the investigation, the defendant is a 55-year-old resident of a coastal village in the Odesa region, who periodically published his pro-Kremlin comments on Russian TG channels.
Therefore, the man came to the “attention” of the FSB, which remotely recruited him in June of this year.
During a search at the detainee’s place of residence, two mobile phones were found, which he used to communicate with the FSB.
“Security Service investigators informed him of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law). The attacker is in custody. He faces life imprisonment,” the SSU said.
