Shelling in Hlukhiv: a child was killed in the Russian attack
On the afternoon of Saturday, 27 July, Hlukhiv, Sumy region, survived a Russian attack. The city center was hit, killing a 14-year-old boy, at least 13 people injured and infrastructure destroyed.
Local online communities wrote about the explosions around 12:40 p.m. The enemy used multiple launch rocket systems. The facts of shelling, destruction and wounded were confirmed to “Suspilne” by the head of the Hlukhiv community, Nadiya Vaylo.
“There are people in serious condition,” she said as of 1:30 p.m.
As of 16:00, the National Police of Ukraine clarified that 13 civilians were injured, including seven children. There is a victim.
The Sumy region prosecutor’s office reported at 15:35 that a 14-year-old teenager died in the hospital.
The Sumy regional military administration reported that 12 explosions were recorded in the community. One woman and child are in serious condition.
“The victims are provided with the necessary medical care. Emergency services are working at the arrival site... Take care of yourself and your family, follow the safety rules,” the RMA wrote.
The prosecutor’s office noted that apartment and private buildings, shops and cars of civilians were affected. The educational institution was also damaged.
A pre-trial investigation is being conducted into violations of the laws and customs of war, coupled with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
