As a result of the Russian attack in Khmelnytskyi region, Kernel stopped the operation of its oil plant
On the night of August 7, as a result of a Russian drone attack, the largest oil extraction plant of the Kernel agricultural holding, located in the Khmelnytskyi region, was damaged and shut down.
The company announced this on August 8 on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
"Recently, the largest oil extraction plant Kernel, located in western Ukraine, suffered from a massive drone attack from Russia. Work at the asset was suspended, and the fire that broke out as a result of the shelling was extinguished. Fortunately, there were no casualties. The company is currently assessing the extent of the damage and associated losses," the statement said.
According to the press service of the Khmelnytskyi RMA, on August 7, as a result of falling debris, storage tanks and workshop premises of one of the production enterprises of the region were damaged. As it turned out, it was about the Starokostyantynivskyi oil extraction plant in the Khmelnytskyi region. It began operating in mid-April 2024 and became the first and largest plant that the Kernel agroholding built in western Ukraine.
