Ukrainian Armed Forces have slowed down the occupiers’ pace near Pokrovsk: fighting for two villages continues

In the Pokrovsk direction of the Donetsk region, battles are underway for Hrodivka and Novohrodivka. According to a lieutenant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the call sign "Alex", Ukrainian fighters managed to slightly reduce the pace of the Russian occupiers. He wrote about this in his Telegram channel on August 22.

"In the Pokrovsk sector, fighting continues for Hrodivka and Novohrodivka. We managed to reduce the enemy’s activity a little bit, we have an opportunity to gain some time while the fighting for these settlements continues," said an officer of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with the call sign "Alex".

He stressed that the situation is complicated in the area of Ptychy, the enemy is trying to capture Kalynove to get to the rear of Ukrainian units defending Karlivka.

"By the way, in Karlivka itself, the guys are also holding their positions well," he said.
