HACC confiscated assets worth several billion hryvnias from Russian oligarch Usmanov
In this situation, iron ore products totaling over 165 thousand tons and 100% of the charter capital of LLC "Peter-Service Ukraine" are mentioned.
The High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) satisfied the claim of the Ministry of Justice against the Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov and his business partners regarding the confiscation of property. This was reported by Deputy Minister Inna Bohatykh on Facebook, according to "Korespondent".
According to her, it concerns iron ore products totaling over 165 thousand tons (estimated value – more than 2 billion UAH). Also under consideration is 100% of the charter capital of LLC "Peter-Service Ukraine" – an IT company previously controlled by Usmanov.
"The seizure of Usmanov’s and his Kremlin supporters’ assets is a small but systematic step towards restoring justice and compensating for the damage by those who, along with the political leadership of Russia, bear responsibility for the aggression against Ukraine," Bohatykh wrote.
The HACC decision was made on September 25 and has not yet come into legal force. An appeal can be filed against it.
Usmanov’s assets were frozen back in December 2022. Thousands of tons of iron ore, which were planned to be illegally transported by sea to Russia, were discussed.
Later, this property was transferred to the management of the National Agency for Finding, Tracing and Managing Assets obtained from corruption and other crimes (ARMA).
