In Poltava, a 71-year-old man set himself on fire in the premises of the regional military administration.

According to preliminary data, at around 12 PM on September 27, in the premises of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, a 71-year-old resident of another region poured a flammable liquid on himself and set himself on fire.

Police officers who were ensuring the security of the RMA premises extinguished the flames on his clothing and called for an ambulance. The man was hospitalized with burns.

The investigative-operational group of the police and forensic specialists are working at the scene. Law enforcement agencies are determining the motives behind the act and the circumstances of the incident.

At the same time, according to local journalists, the man has IDP status, lived in a modular town on Medychna Street, 1, and had an unstable psychological state.
