The AFU reported what is happening at the plant in Vovchansk

The situation in the Kharkiv direction is complex, with the hottest area being around Vovchansk. There, the Russian occupiers have a "target no. 1".

After the liberation of the Vovchansk Aggregate Plant, the situation there is extremely tense, as it has become the main target for the enemy. Speaker of the Kharkiv operational-tactical group Vitaliy Sarantsev stated this during a telethon broadcast on September 30.

He reported that the overall circumstances in the Kharkiv direction remain complicated. Russian Armed Forces are trying to storm Ukrainian positions, with the hottest section being the area around Vovchansk.

"There, the enemy attempted to attack our units three times yesterday and again this morning, under the cover of heavy armored vehicles," noted the military official.

He explained that the invaders planned to blow up the landing, but they did not succeed. Four vehicles were damaged, and then the enemy abandoned their task.

According to Sarantsev, the situation at the Vovchansk Aggregate Plant is "the most complex and tense." The facility became "target no. 1" for the occupiers after its liberation and clearance.

"It has no tactical or strategic objective. But at the same time, for the enemy, this was a very powerful image blow, the loss of this facility," emphasized the speaker of the Kharkiv OTU.

He explained that currently, the Russian Armed Forces are trying to use the "full spectrum of their weapons" against the plant.

"The enemy is using the heavy flamethrower system TOS-1A and dropping GABs. In other words, they are following their standard practice. When they fail to capture something, they simply destroy it," added Sarantsev.
