About a hundred servicemen of the 187th battalion of the 123rd brigade of the Territorial Defence refused to carry out a combat mission and left their military unit in Donbas without permission, Suspilne reports.

The fighters held a protest in Voznesensk, Mykolaiv region, to express their dissatisfaction with the lack of preparation and shortage of weapons for participating in combat operations.

"I repeatedly appealed, even regarding my area of responsibility. I asked for PKMs, machine guns. (I was told - Ed.) we don’t have them, we can’t provide them. And then Donbas, and with what?" said a serviceman.

The head of the psychological support department of the Territorial Defence Forces command, Oleksandr Pukhalskyi, stated that the unit is fully equipped with weapons and military equipment. The fighters also face criminal liability.
