Air defence forces destroyed 21 "Shaheds" at night, and another UAV returned to Russia

This was reported by the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

"On the night of October 9, 2024, the enemy struck the Poltava region with three Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, as well as 22 strike drones from Primorsko-Akhtarsk, RF, and Cape Chauda, Crimea," the report says.

To repel the attack, aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and Defence Forces of Ukraine were engaged.

As a result of the air battle, 21 enemy drones were shot down in the Odesa, Vinnytsia, and Kyiv regions. Another strike drone returned in the direction of Russia.
