Situation on the frontline: Since the beginning of the day, 112 combat clashes have occurred

At the front, since the beginning of the day, there have been 112 combat clashes, 46 of them in the Kurakhove direction.

This was reported from the operational information of the General Staff as of 22:00 on October 16.

"Since the beginning of the day, there have been 112 combat clashes, the enemy launched one missile strike using one missile, 49 air strikes - dropping 50 GABS, deployed 655 kamikaze drones for strikes, and conducted over 3500 shellings of our troops’ positions and settlements using various types of weapons."

In the Kharkiv direction, the occupiers launched four attacks near Starytsia during the day. The Defense Forces’ units successfully repelled all enemy assaults.

In the Kupyansk direction, 18 enemy attacks were recorded in the areas of Kucherivka, Pishchane, Stepova Novoselivka, Lozova, and Vyshneve, nine of which are ongoing.

The enemy attacked seventeen times in the Lyman direction, trying to advance in the areas of Hrekivka, Nevske, Terny, and Torske.

In the Kramatorsk direction, there were three combat clashes. The occupiers were active in the area of Stupochky.

During the day, the invaders attacked the positions of Ukrainian soldiers once near Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, there have been battles in the areas of Promin, Kruty Yar, and Selydove. Nine offensive and assault actions by the enemy were repelled.

In the Kurakhove direction, 46 attacks by the occupiers are recorded at this time. The invaders maintain the highest activity near Tsukuryne, Novoselidivka, Hirnyk, Heorhiivka, and near Vodiane.

In the Vremivka direction, our troops repelled three enemy attacks towards Bohoyavlenka, Novoukrainka, and near Zolota Nyva.

In the Orikhiv direction, our troops repelled one enemy attack in the area of Mala Tokmachka.

In the Prydniprovske direction, units of our troops successfully repelled six assault actions of the aggressor’s forces on our positions.
