The occupiers have moved to the "final" stage of capturing Selydove, – military

According to the lieutenant of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with the callsign "Alex," it can be noted that the next phase of battles for the city has begun, creating a difficult situation for the Defence Forces. War correspondent Bohdan Miroshnikov suggests that the Russians’ target might be the settlement of Vyshneve or the multi-story buildings in Selydove itself.

Enemy infantry is attacking Selydove in the Pokrovsk district of the Donetsk region. This information is confirmed by military forces. The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that over the past day, the Russians carried out more than 45 attacks in this direction.

"Active assault operations on Selydove from the east are still ongoing, infantry, infantry, and more infantry, this is clearly not just another assault. They are trying to slowly succeed in the center, ’catching up’ with the flanks," reports the lieutenant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the pseudonym "Alex," who writes on the Telegram channel under the nickname "Officer."

He noted that all night the enemy infantry tried to advance and secure positions on the outskirts of Selydove.

"The guys destroyed several vehicles and 2 buggies with drones, but it can be said with confidence that the next phase of battles for the city, which is not easy for us, has begun," the military noted.

War correspondent Bohdan Miroshnykov also reported on the Russian attacks on Selydove. According to him, the enemy has moved to the "final" stage of encircling the city. In his view, the occupiers intend to act with merging strikes to fully encircle the city. He believes that the Russians are attacking the flanks with mobile units while the "meat infantry" conducts frontal attacks, and he stated that the enemy’s target could be both "Vyshneve and the multi-story buildings in the north of the city, near which there is another important road."

The occupiers have used the same tactics in many other areas: in Bakhmut, Ocheretyne, Novohrodivka, Chasiv Yar, and Toretsk.

"The results vary, but the style is the same. In Chasiv Yar and Toretsk, there’s still a long way to go. It is clear that a second Novohrodivka/Ocheretyne did not happen, so the conflict there has been very intense for 2 months," Miroshnikov recalled.
