In the capital’s prosecutor’s office, 20 prosecutors have disabilities

This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office in Telegram.

«We inform you that neither the acting head of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office nor his deputies have any groups of disability, nor pensions for years of service, nor any other benefits», - noted the office.

It is also specified that heads of departments and their deputies do not have groups of disability. Among the heads of divisions, there is one employee with a third group disability related to organ prosthetics.

«The established number of prosecutors in the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office — including the staff and 10 district prosecutor’s offices — is 696 employees. Currently, 20 prosecutors have submitted documents regarding their disability status, which makes up 2.87% of the total number of prosecutors», - added the prosecutor’s office.

It is also reported that in 2024 one person formalized their disability, in 2023 — also one employee, and in 2022 — two people. The rest of the prosecutors formalized their disabilities before 2022.

Overall, of the 20 people with disabilities, five are childhood disabilities (one man and four women).

«Of course, we cannot disclose the diagnoses of employees, but we note that among prosecutors with disabilities, the grounds for obtaining it were mainly oncological diseases, including thyroid removal, as well as diabetes», - emphasized the Kyiv Prosecutor’s Office.

It is also reported that the collected information with supporting documents has already been submitted to the Office of the General Prosecutor as part of an internal investigation initiated by the general prosecutor.
