The situation at the front: the Russians are trying to break through the defence near Selydove

According to the General Staff, the situation on the front remains difficult, with 84 combat clashes occurring since the beginning of the day. In the Pokrovsk direction, defenders have already repelled 10 attacks, notably near Selydove, and halted 19 enemy assaults in the Kurakhiv direction.

This is reported by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

"The situation on the front remains tense. The enemy, despite suffering significant losses inflicted by our defenders, continues to attempt to breach the defence of Ukrainian forces."

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian occupiers attempted twice to break through the defensive lines of Ukrainian forces in the Vovchansk area, but our defenders repelled the Russian attacks. 

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy made 13 active advances on our units’ positions in the areas of Kindrashivka, Synkivka, Kolisnykivka, Kruhlakivka, Lozova, Zahryzove, Pershotravneve, and Vyshneve. Ukrainian soldiers are holding the defense firmly, with six engagements still underway. The situation is under control. 

In the Lyman direction, the occupying army launched nine attacks on Ukrainian positions near Cherneshchyna, Novomykhailivka, Makiivka, Terny, Zarichne, Serebrianka, and Hryhorivka. 

In the Kramatorsk direction, invaders conducted two assault operations supported by army aviation near Orikhovo-Vasylivka. 

In the Toretsk direction, Russians attempted to displace our units from their positions near Shcherbynivka and New York, where the Defense Forces repelled four attacks. The occupiers are actively using aviation on this direction, particularly bombing the areas of Oleksandro-Kalynove and Romanivka.

Since the beginning of the day in the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy has already made 15 attempts to push our defenders from their positions in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Krutyi Yar, and Selydove. The Defense Forces are holding the pressure and have repelled ten enemy attacks. Enemy losses are being clarified.

Fighting continues near Novoselydivka, Novodmytrivka, Kurakhivka, Maksymilianivka, Antonivka, Kurakhove, and Katerynivka in the Kurakhiv direction. According to updated information, 19 attacks by the occupying army have been repelled today, with two attacks still ongoing.

In the Vremivka direction, an attack is ongoing in the area of Novoukrainka, and additionally, the enemy dropped four guided bombs in the area of Velyka Novosilka.

In the Hulyaipole and Orikhove directions, occupiers actively used aviation, dropping 12 guided bombs in the area of Mala Tokmachka and striking Bilohirya with two salvos of 40 unguided aviation rockets.

In the Prydniprovsk direction, the enemy unsuccessfully tried three times to dislodge Ukrainian warriors from their positions.

The enemy also struck its own territory; according to available information, Russians carried out 15 aviation strikes on the Kursk region today, using 18 aviation bombs.
