The occupiers broke through the channel in Chasiv Yar

According to British intelligence, occupying forces have advanced to the eastern part of the city. Fierce clashes are occurring at several points in the canal district.

The Russian Armed Forces, after a prolonged lack of progress in this direction, managed to achieve success in the city of Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region.

This information is obtained from an intelligence report by the UK Ministry of Defence dated October 28.

"They probably crossed the canal in the southern part of Chasiv Yar and approached the city boundary. In the central part of the canal district, Russian troops likely launched a limited advance west of the canal towards the eastern part of Chasiv Yar," reported British intelligence.

The UK Ministry of Defence suggested that intense fighting continues in the central and northern areas of the canal district. The enemy is unable to secure a foothold there.

Intelligence noted that since mid-July, the Russian Armed Forces have been unable to cross the canal in Chasiv Yar. The advancement of the occupiers has been restrained by extensive defensive actions of the Ukrainian forces.
