The communication systems manufacturing company Himera reported the beating of its employee by border guards in Zakarpattia

According to the data, a 23-year-old young man was heading to a glamping site (camping with hotel conditions) with his friends but encountered border guards.

They accused them of attempting an illegal border crossing.

The young man rejected these accusations and "refused to write an explanation under dictation" from the border guards. He was handcuffed, his phone was taken away, he was not allowed to call a lawyer, and he sustained injuries—a contusion of the soft tissues of the head and a bruise on the left elbow joint, as confirmed by a medical report.

The company is seeking an investigation.
