The Kyiv Court of Appeal keeps Mykola Tyshchenko under round-the-clock house arrest until November 16.

The Kyiv Court of Appeal has kept Member of Parliament Mykola Tyshchenko, suspected of illegally detaining a serviceman in Dnipro, under round-the-clock house arrest. This was reported by the Kyiv Court of Appeal.

It is stated that on November 12, 2024, the panel of judges of the criminal chamber of the Kyiv Court of Appeal considered the appeal filed by the defense against the decision of the investigating judge of the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv dated September 19, 2024. This decision satisfied the Prosecutor General’s motion and extended the preventive measure for the suspect T. in the form of round-the-clock house arrest, except for the necessity to receive medical assistance or ensure personal safety under martial law conditions, by staying in protective shelters in case of an air raid alert, at the address specified in the decision, until November 16, 2024, within the pre-trial investigation, with obligations imposed on the suspect T. as provided by part 5 of article 194 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, in particular, wearing an electronic monitoring device.

"As a result of the appeal review, the decision of the investigating judge of the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv dated September 19, 2024, was left unchanged, the defense’s appeal was denied," the statement said.
