Ukrainian infantry heroically holds Toretsk, countering the constant "meat assaults" of the occupiers

Currently, the Ukrainian Defence Forces hold the central part of Toretsk, but the situation there is changing every hour as the occupiers continue to carry out intensive assaults.

This was reported in an interview by the commander of the 4th Battalion of the 101st Separate Brigade of the General Staff Protection, Bohdan Popelnukha.

"Our infantry is doing incredible work: defending building by building and inflicting fire damage on the enemy. And the Russians are constantly advancing," he said.

The military officer noted that most of the captured Russians in this direction are prisoners, and they are young. "When you talk to them, they say, ’We have a better chance of surviving if we move forward to you than if we turn back and say we are wounded,’" added the brigade commander.

Popelnukha emphasizes that if the Russians manage to capture Toretsk, they will head towards Kostyantynivka, as there is a road junction there that leads to the main settlements of the Donetsk region.
