13 members of the Kharkiv MSEC are under investigation

This was reported at a briefing by the deputy head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Olena Lohvynova, and the director of the regional health department, Tetyana Demenko.

«The MSEC members against whom there are criminal proceedings, currently 13, but there will probably be more, will likely not participate in expert teams», – said Demenko.

According to Lohvynova, all those involved in the criminal proceedings have been suspended from work.

According to the officials, the regional MSEC consists of 157 employees, 60 of whom are of retirement age. Starting from December 3, discussions regarding employment in regional medical institutions will be held with the employees.

Expert teams that will replace MSEC will be formed in 18 institutions: these include the Regional Clinical Hospital, Regional Oncology Center, Regional Phthisiopulmonology Center, Mental Health Center based on Psychiatric Hospital No. 3, Regional Cardiology Center, Regional Trauma Hospital; Kharkiv city hospitals No. 17, 18, 25, and the Emergency Medical Aid and Disaster Medicine Hospital named after Prof. O.I. Meshchaninov; Balakliia, Chuhuiv, Berestivske, Merefianka, Derhachi, Zmiiv central hospitals and Lozova Territorial Medical Association.

At least two expert teams will work at each medical institution.

«I want to emphasize that the heads of each of the 26 MSEC departments do not have the right to participate in the expert teams that will be created based on cluster and super-cluster hospitals», – said Demenko.

At the same time, the regional administration will recommend that hospitals do not include MSEC members in the composition of expert teams, added Lohvynova.
