Umyerov: The "Palyanytsya" missile-drone has entered serial production
The Ukrainian missile-drone "Palyanytsya," announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the summer, has entered serial production.
This was reported by Defence Minister Rustem Umyerov in a blog on LB.ua.
He noted that in modern warfare, missiles are a key element for striking deep into the enemy’s rear, as drones, although effective, are less powerful. The use of foreign missiles often requires coordination with partners.
Umyerov emphasized that Ukrainian cruise and ballistic missiles will allow the Armed Forces of Ukraine to operate independently, delivering precise strikes on key enemy targets.
"President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that this year Ukraine has already produced the first 100 missiles. This was made possible by the efforts of the Ministry of Defence, which coordinates both state and private initiatives in missile building. In particular, the serial production of R-360 Neptune cruise missiles has been resumed and expanded. The modified missiles are now capable of hitting targets at greater distances. Private enterprises are also demonstrating outstanding results, for example, a new startup has implemented the Palyanytsia missile project, which has already entered serial production with the support of the Ministry of Defence," wrote the minister.
