Russian troops may begin to encircle the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the northwest of Kurakhove, reports Ukrainian military observer Kostyantyn Mashovets.

"In the Kurakhove direction, there is a very real possibility of encirclement of all our troops east of the notional line of Novotroitske - Bohatyr. I am not exaggerating, something strange is evidently happening west of Selydove. Moreover, it is evident that the enemy is significantly pressing not only towards Pokrovsk (through Novotroitske and Shevchenko) but also in the direction of Ukrayinka and Yaseneve (which is clearly aimed at bypassing our troops defending near the village of Zarya and Sontsivka)," noted Mashovets.

According to him, the situation is even more complex in the area of Velyka Novosilka.

"The enemy’s command has essentially gained the ability to freely choose directions for its active offensive actions. At least, in the tactical zone, across the entire section from Novodarivka to the village of Dalnye," writes Mashovets.
