Smuggling of Apple in Ukraine: who is behind the "Yabko" chain?

I conducted a small investigation here using open data on the topic of who might actually be behind the largest network of smuggling Apple products in Ukraine, "Yabko."

Despite the fact that their network already includes about 110 stores, with around 150 sole proprietorships, and tax evasion during the war alone amounted to 3.3 billion UAH, the face of this network is being "sold" to us as two completely out-of-touch guys, Mykola Kakhnych and Vitaliy Turkovets.

To understand their disconnect, I suggest listening to a fragment of this duo’s presentation at the Parliament’s finance committee.

In it, they openly demonstrate their complete misunderstanding of the questions from the state. They even say: "You tell us what needs to be done for everything to be fine."
