The second "Mriya" aircraft is 70% ready, — Antonov

The second An-225 "Mriya" aircraft is 70% ready. The fuselage and wing are available – these are the main and most expensive parts of the aircraft.

Commander of the largest transport aircraft "Mriya" and "Ruslan," Dmytro Antonov, reported this on the air of "KYIV24."

This was done back in 1990, but it was preserved. It was intended for another aircraft.

"If the Union hadn’t collapsed, we would have had two aircraft in a few years. That was the plan, but it didn’t come to fruition. We kept the second aircraft for all these 30 years, and it is in good condition. It is possible to build it. We need to complete it – to do 30% of the work: equip the new aircraft with the necessary equipment," Antonov noted.
