Lviv councilman Domanskyi was placed under house arrest
The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv has imposed round-the-clock house arrest on Volodymyr Domanskyi, a member of the Lviv Regional Council from the "European Solidarity" party, who is accused of fraud in tender procurements.

During the session, prosecutor Dmytro Obikhvost revealed the details of the detention. According to him, on December 24, 2024, around 12:00, the Deputy Mayor of Yavoriv, Vitaliy Deneha, who was acting with Domanskyi, received 190,000 hryvnias. On the same day, around 14:00, the Lviv Regional Council deputy, during a personal meeting at his home, received 19,000 US dollars from an entrepreneur.
After the transfer of the last portion of the money, a search and detention were conducted. In Domanskyi’s house, law enforcement found money that was discovered at the scene. These were the same bills that the entrepreneur had handed to the deputy shortly before. The prosecutor added that Domanskyi tried to dispose of them by flushing them down the toilet, but unsuccessfully. Officials were detained that day.
"During the pre-trial investigation of this case, the correspondence between the suspect Domanskyi and Yavoriv Deputy Mayor Deneha with the victim was documented, in which circumstances of requests for monetary funds in specified amounts were recorded. Three instances of money transfers to the victim at the suspects’ request were also documented," the prosecutor noted.
The prosecution insisted on preventive measures in the form of detention with the right to post bail in the amount of 5,011,340 hryvnias. The prosecutor justified this by stating that the official has connections in law enforcement, and possibly he could flee abroad with the help of acquaintances. There is also a risk of hiding or altering evidence, pressuring witnesses, and obstructing the investigation due to connections in law enforcement and business structures. According to him, this bail amount is moderate considering the man’s income and assets.
In turn, Domanskyi’s lawyer argued that there is no evidence supporting the risks indicated by the prosecutor. According to him, Domanskyi does not have the amount needed for bail.
The court imposed a preventive measure on Domanskyi in the form of round-the-clock house arrest.
