Generals order sending cooks, drivers, and repairmen to positions of artillerymen, — Serhiy Filimonov
The commander of the separate battalion "Da Vinci Wolves" Serhiy Filimonov announced a critical shortage of soldiers on the front lines and ineffective management from the leadership.
According to him, every time he asks the command for reinforcements, they send cooks, drivers, or repairmen who are supposed to replace artillerymen in combat positions.
"Instead of addressing the issue of personnel shortage, we have to deploy those who do not even have the proper training to carry out combat tasks on the front line. This is not just a risk to their lives — it is a threat to the entire defensive operation," stressed Filimonov.
The commander also noted that such a situation is becoming systematic and urged a review of the approach to unit staffing and mobilization. "You can’t win a war when artillery batteries are manned by cooks or drivers," he added.
Filimonov called on the command to pay attention to the issue and provide the units with qualified personnel that correspond to their assignment on the front.
