Russian Federation strikes at boarding house in Sudzha

Russian aviation carried out an airstrike on a boarding house in the city of Sudzha, Kursk region. There were elderly people there.

This was reported by the press officer of the military commandant’s office in the Kursk region, Oleksiy Dmytrashkivskyi, during a television marathon broadcast.

"Last night (January 11 - ed.), Russian aviation carried out two airstrikes in the area of the boarding house in the city of Sudzha. As a result, a woman suffered a laceration to her arm. As of this morning, the woman has died," the spokesperson stated.

According to him, the boarding house premises were heavily damaged, with all windows and doors blown out.

The spokesperson added that elderly people were in the boarding house, many of them disabled individuals.

"The question arose as to where to relocate these people. All the people are elderly, many of them have disabilities, Parkinson’s disease, post-stroke conditions, and there is one person with a mental disorder. That is, the condition of these people at the moment is quite challenging," Dmytrashkivskyi explained.

He added that in the territories of the Russian Federation controlled by Ukraine, there are about 2,000 people. More than 70 people are in the boarding school that was shelled by the Russians.
