A military officer explained what is happening in Toretsk: "More than 50% of the city is lost"

More than half of the city of Toretsk in the Donetsk region is under the control of Russian occupiers. The Russians continue their attempts to capture this settlement.

This was reported by an officer of the 12th Azov Special Purpose Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine with the call sign "Skromnyi" during a TV marathon broadcast.

"As for Toretsk, more than 50% of the city is already lost. On our front, we do not allow the enemy to encircle the city from the southwest," he emphasized. He also added that the former 9th regiment of the ’DPR’, where most of the fighters are currently Russians, is fighting in this direction, but it is partially managed by ’DPR’ members," he noted.

"Skromnyi" also reported that Russian troops mainly use unarmored vehicles for assaults, such as cars, buggies, quad bikes, motorcycles, and even scooters. "The enemy has certain problems with armored vehicles," he pointed out.

According to the officer, the enemy’s tactics remain unchanged, although some features have appeared:

"New forces arriving for the enemy are sent to battle within a few days. This is due to the fact that the brigade acting against us has practically depleted its personnel."

He also noted that Russian soldiers who have been captured say they have no time for adaptation: "They say they arrived literally two days ago, and they are already being sent to assault."
