Hlybochytska Street, located in the very heart of the capital’s Podil district, is becoming increasingly unsuitable for permanent residence due to extensive residential complex development.

According to "Texty", around 3,000 apartments have already been built here, with the same number planned. The cost per square meter ranges from $1500 to $3000.

It is assumed that the number of new residents will grow to 15,000, with more than two thousand of them being children. However, the construction of kindergartens and schools is not planned here, nor are new clinics, polyclinics, and other social infrastructure. Additionally, power networks, heating systems, and water supply remain outdated.

Many offices and government institutions are located nearby, which leads to constant traffic overload on Hlybochytska. After the opening of the Podilsky Bridge crossing, the transit load on the street will increase even more.

A tram line passes through the street. Authorities promised to reconstruct it by 2021, but this has not been done. The tram tracks are uneven and have been in operation for many years, causing vibrations during tram movement. There are only four equipped stops along the entire street. The height difference between the slopes above the street reaches more than nine floors. These places are often used for unauthorized dumping of waste.

The street is located within the protected landscape zone of Ancient Kyiv, Mount Shchekavytsia, with a new building height limitation of a maximum of nine floors.

It is also worth noting that Hlybochytska is located within the protected landscape zone of Ancient Kyiv, Mount Shchekavytsia, with a building height limitation of a maximum of nine floors.

According to NERUKHOMI, located near Hlybochytska is the Vozdvyzhenka residential complex with elite housing. During the construction of the complex, the project was violated by densifying the development to gain profit from additional square meters. As a result, the groundwater level rose, leaving many apartments and commercial spaces vacant.
