In Kharkiv, "mostly only disinterested people remain," who do not seek to join the army, noted the head of the Kyiv Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center of Kharkiv, Oleksandr Chepurnyi.

He dismisses accusations that military commissioners violate the mobilization procedure.

"All employees of the Recruitment Center, who are now serving there, have been transferred from military service and are recognized as partially fit. They receive daily briefings. They do not receive any instructions to exceed their authority. Why do all the rumors concern only Kharkiv, and other regions are not mentioned? During inspections by higher authorities, none of the facts were confirmed," claims Chepurnyi.

He also claims that "suspicious individuals, who undermine the defense of the state," are being identified at checkpoints.
