Russian troops continue to actively advance in the Pokrovsk direction and are trying to encircle the city from the southwest.

This was reported by the spokesperson of the operational-strategic grouping of troops "Khortytsia," Viktor Trehubov, in a comment to "Espreso".

"The plan to encircle Pokrovsk remains relevant for the Russian Federation. This is practically the only possible option for the Russians. It would be illogical if they had already begun its implementation and then switched to attempting to enter the city head-on," he explained.

The spokesperson also emphasized that over the past few weeks, the number of combat clashes near Pokrovsk is commensurate with the intensity of battles along the entire front.
