Zelenskyy spoke about negotiations with Putin, elections, and the end of the war

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he is ready to consider the possibility of negotiations with Vladimir Putin, but only on the condition that Ukraine receives reliable security guarantees from Europe and the USA.

“If I am confident that Europe and America will not abandon us and will provide security guarantees, I am ready for any negotiation format,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

According to him, there are prerequisites for ending the war as early as 2025. The President also noted that US leader Donald Trump is interested in the swift resolution of the conflict.

Furthermore, Zelenskyy expressed opposition to holding elections during the war.

“Our people are against elections during hostilities. Suspending martial law will lead to the loss of the army. And voting without the participation of the military would be unfair,” the head of state noted.
