In Ukraine, the IMF mission has begun its work
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission begins discussions in Kyiv with the Ukrainian authorities regarding the review of the seventh Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program.
This is reported in an IMF press release.
“The IMF mission led by Gavin Gray begins discussions today in Kyiv with representatives of the Ukrainian authorities on the seventh review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program,” stated Priscilla Toffano, the IMF’s resident representative in Ukraine.
Representatives of the International Monetary Fund will focus, in particular, on issues of fiscal and monetary policy, debt sustainability, and governance reforms.
If Ukraine successfully completes the seventh review of the EFF program, 917.5 million USD will be received in the state budget.
Over nearly two years of the Extended Fund Facility program, Ukraine has successfully completed six reviews - for the first time in its collaboration history with the IMF. This has allowed the Ukrainian state budget to attract approximately 9.8 billion USD out of the 15.5 billion USD projected by the program for the years 2023-2027.
In 2025, it is planned to attract 2.7 billion USD from the IMF based on the results of four quarterly reviews.
