The Armed Forces of Ukraine demonstrated how Mirage-2000 fighters destroyed Russian missiles

On the night of March 7, when the Russian Armed Forces launched a massive airstrike on Ukraine, French Mirage-2000 fighters participated in repelling the attack for the first time.

The Mirage-2000 fighters of the Air Force, provided by France to Ukraine, for the first time shot down Russian X-101 cruise missiles in Ukrainian skies during combat duty. This occurred during the Russian attack on March 7, 2025.

On the night of March 7, Russia launched a massive airstrike on Ukraine. The enemy’s aerial offensive was repelled by anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare means, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defence Forces of Ukraine. Fighter aviation was also used, including F-16 and Mirage-2000 aircraft.

The Air Force noted that the French fighters, which arrived in Ukraine just a month ago, took part in repelling an enemy attack for the first time.

The Defence Forces of Ukraine shot down 25 Russian X-101/X-55SM cruise missiles, eight Kalibr missiles, one X-59/69 guided aviation missile, and 100 drones.
